About Crohns Disease

Can affect any part of the GI tract from mouth to anus. Crohn and colleagues described 14 cases in 1932. Incidence has risen dramatically in developed countries. Biologics have transformed treatment since the 1990s. Surgery is often needed but is not a cure.
